²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Foundation welcomes new director Alister Mathieson
The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alister Mathieson to the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ (²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ) Foundation Board of Directors. Alister joins the Board of Directors with a wealth of business and fundraising expertise in the post-secondary sector.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Alister to the Foundation Board,” says Ken Cretney, Chair ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Foundation Board. “His expertise and experience in working and leading college fundraising will be invaluable to our organization.”
After working as a VP of Global Business for The Thomas Cook Group, Alister joined Humber College (the largest college in Canada) in 2001 as Dean, School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism. In 2013, he became VP of Advancement and External Affairs responsible for business development, fundraising and global partnerships. Following his retirement from Humber in 2019, he and his family moved to British Columbia.
“I am excited to give back and to support the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Foundation to create new partnerships and bring people together,” says Alister.
Alister is appointed to the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Board for a three-year term and joins the current roster of directors including:

Founded in 1983, the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Foundation is a registered charitable organization under the Canadian Income Tax Act. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and operated by a professional and experienced staff team.
The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Foundation and ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ enjoy an independent yet interrelated relationship. Together with the support of our community of donors, the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Foundation has raised funds to support new buildings, classroom equipment, special projects; as well as for scholarships, bursaries, awards, and much more to enrich each student's educational experience.
