²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ English assessments meet the English Language Proficiency requirements for most ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ programs. Find out which one is right for you.
Choose an English Assessment
If you ...
- Have completed three years* of full-time, face-to-face secondary or post-secondary education in an English-speaking country where English is the primary language of instruction and
- You are comfortable with a standard testing room, equipment, and amount of time and
- Your program accepts ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ English language assessments
You should take: ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ NG Accuplacer assessment
DO NOT take this assessment for Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses. Please see an Academic Advisor for other assessment options.
If you ...
- Have not completed three years* of full-time, face-to-face secondary or post-secondary education in an English-speaking country where English is the primary language of instruction and
- You are comfortable with a standard testing room, equipment, and amount of time and
- Your program accepts ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ English language assessments
You should take: ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ EAL (ESL) Accuplacer with ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ EAL (ESL) Speaking Assessment
If you ...
- Are applying for the Health Care Assistant (HCA) program and
- You have completed three years* of full-time, face-to-face secondary or post-secondary education in an English-speaking country where English is the primary language of instruction.
You should take: ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ HCA (Health Care Assistant) NG Accuplacer
* English as an Additional Language (EAL/ESL) courses are not considered in the three-year calculation
²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Health Sciences programs' English Assessments
If you are applying for a Health Sciences program other than the Health Care Assistant program, check the Health Sciences English Language Proficiency page.
- Some health programs do not accept ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ English assessments (e.g. Practical Nursing).
- Some health programs do not accept ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ English assessments for applicants with less than 3 years of study in English (e.g. Health Care Assistant, Pharmacy Technician).
